Justificación
Debido a que en el departamento del Huila no existe una escuela especializada en el lenguaje de Teatro Callejero y Artes Circenses, se crea este proyecto pedagógico el cual pretende constituirse en una escuela profesional dirigido a niños, niñas y jóvenes en alto riesgo de exclusión social, interesados en este lenguaje escénico. A los alumnos se les propondrá un trabajo regular y una enseñanza de larga duración, que desarrollara el conocimiento teatral y la relación entre la vida y el arte.
El plan académico con los jóvenes tendrá una duración de dos años. Se propone igualmente que los alumnos al finalizar su período de estudios en la Escuela se integren a un proceso de trabajo con la comunidad poniendo en práctica los conocimientos adquiridos.
Escuela Internacional de Teatro Callejero y Técnicas de Circo
Proyecto pedagógico creado por el Teatro Taller de Colombia en 1.993 en el Centro Poblacional de La Jagua, Municipio de Garzón, Departamento del Huila. Desde sus inicios se ha contado con el apoyo del Ministerio de Cultura, dentro del programa de “Formación Artística y Escuelas Concertadas” y de algunas instituciones nacionales e internacionales.
Misión
La Formación Artística en el lenguaje del Teatro Calle y las Artes Circenses en una educación NO FORMAL, programa pedagógico encaminado a brindar herramientas y la instrumentación básica a jóvenes, niños y niñas de la región en riesgo de exclusión social, brindándoles la oportunidad de desarrollar actividades artísticas y culturales como opción de vida y proyecto productivo.
Visión
Afianzar y fortalecer el programa a largo plazo, a través de talleres continuos, intercambios de experiencias con maestros nacionales e internacionales, realización de encuentros y presentaciones artísticas a nivel regional y nacional que beneficien a la población en general.

JUSTIFICATION
Because in the department of Huila doesn´t exist a school specialized in the language of street theatre and circus arts, this Project is created and a profesional school for boys, girls and youngstens is in plan of being forwed. For these youngsters in high risk of social exclusion interested in this language. Regular work and long term teaching will be proposed to the students. This will develop the theater knowledge and the relation between life and art.
The academic play with the youngtens will last two years. It is proposed that when the students end ther study period art school they integrate to a working process with the community practicing their knowledge.
INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF STREET AND CIRCUS TECHIQUES.
Project created by the theater studio of Colombia in 1993 in the town of La Jagua municipality of Garzón, department of Huila.
From its beginning is has had the support of the ministry of culture within the program of “artistic formation and arranged schools” and of some national and international institutes.
MISSION
The artistic formation in the language of street drama and circus arts in an forwad education program headed to give means and the basic instruments to youngstens, boys and girls of the reslon in risk of social rejection giving them the oportunity of developing artistic and cultural activities as an option of life and productive project.
VISION
To strengthen the program on a large basis through continuos workshops, interchange of experiences with national and international teachers, the carrying out of encounters, artistic presentations on a regional and national level that will the people in general.
LA JAGUA CIRCUS THEATRE.
Grouping conforwed in the year of 1998 by young actors of the international school of street theater and circus techniques with the purpose of creating theater spectacles initiating an artistic labor and a permanent prescense in cultural events on the municipal, regional and national levels. They have also performed as workshop teacher in different municipalities south of the department. Actually they are outlined as one of the most serious and dynamic groups of the municipality of Garzón and Huila.
POPULATION CENTER LA JAGUA (WITCH TOWN)
Town located south of Colombia in the municipality of Garzón in the department of Huila, with approximately 3000 inhabitants of Indian and farwer origin mostly children adolescents and youngstens. Theer are friendly and working people sall of them show a great artistic and creative sensibility, maybe be cause of their ancestors, as the majority of the families are dedicated to craft manship labors Knitting on banank bark, leather etc. outstanding in fairs and hand craft events in departments ar well as national, integrating this to agriculture labors, small plots, fishing or modert family bussinesser ar raising up chickens and home bakery.
Also La Jagua is residence of artists and sculptors who find in it the climate and spacr apropiate for their creations. It ´s important to note that some families have the talent of the arts of magic and gvessing through the reading of cisarrete, cup of coffee, the cards, the palws of the hands and beverages aming others. Theirs why La Jagua since old timer is know ar “The town of witches”.
